The Republicans celebrate American fickleness.
To me, the Republicans winning yesterday has about as much significance as the San Francisco Giants winning the day before. I didn’t care about either team; baseball will be played again next year; the outcome will probably be different; the game will forever be the same. I had one fantasy player named Marijuana and he’s not a great player.
Speaking of which: Cali! I missed the final score of the game last night. Did Weed win? Can I start the taxing and regulating? No? Okay. Regulators – DISMOUNT!!!

The newly-elected 2010 U.S. House of Representatives.
If you find politics to be any less innocuous than soap operas, you and I are watching different shows. On the other hand, if you enjoy politics for the same stagnant drama that allows you to seamlessly watch episodes of General Hospital from ten years apart, that at least makes sense to me. Either way, do what you do, hece. But don’t expect me to comprende if it’s the former, homez.
I can’t remember the last time anything substantial actually happened. Something came up about health care, if I recall, but I still haven’t seen a doctor. Nobody has a job. The Gulf of Mexico is all fucked up again. When the racist guy was in office the rest of the world hated us. Now that the black guy is in charge they pity us. I guess that’s sort of like change. But changes like that happen all the time on General Hospital.

I know The Simpsons isn't what it used to be, but it sure beats the postmodern version.
For the longest time now the landscape has remained the same while only the perspective has shifted. Modernism becomes postmodernism and realism becomes neorealism, but always the same picture. We don’t need to redefine realism or modify modernity. We need to change as the world changes.
I don’t buy that it’s the two-party system that’s led to this standstill. Adding another perspective wouldn’t fix anything, it would only result in neopostmodernism. The problem isn’t the perspective, it’s the image itself. It doesn’t reflect the times. It’s not modern or postmodern or neopostmodern. It’s antiquated. No matter how you look at it.
My name is Ben and I can’t remember if this post had any jokes in it.
